  • Maintain a colour palette with text and interface contrast ratios of at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text and user-interface components.
  • Ensure all interactive elements are reachable and operable with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
  • Use semantic HTML: correct page landmarks, a single main heading per page, a logical heading order, meaningful text alternatives for images, and labelled form fields (including login, registration and checkout).
  • Respect the operating-system "reduced motion" preference, limiting or disabling animation for people who request it.
  • Provide a "Skip to content" link so keyboard and screen-reader users can bypass the navigation.
  • Present the customs and import-duty notice with an icon, visible text and an accessible note, so it never relies on colour alone.
  • Combine automated testing (axe-core, WCAG 2.1 A/AA) with manual review of keyboard navigation, visible focus, contrast, text alternatives, forms, semantic structure and reduced motion.
