Shell Diamonds
Accessibility Statement
GENESIS LAB SL, operating the Shell Diamonds store, is committed to making its website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We treat digital accessibility as a core part of how we build and maintain this site, not as an afterthought.
This statement describes our commitment, the standard we follow, the measures we have taken, and how you can reach us if you encounter a barrier.
Applicable law and standard. This website aims to conform with EN 301 549, the European harmonised standard for the accessibility of ICT products and services, which is aligned with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. This standard implements the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), enforceable since 28 June 2025 and transposed in Spain by Law 11/2023 and Royal Decree 193/2023, where our service provider is established.
Scope
This accessibility statement applies to the Shell Diamonds website served at shelldiamonds.com domain pending, including its public pages and the online store (product catalogue, cart, checkout and account area).
Conformance status
The website is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA, and we are actively working toward full conformance. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content may not yet fully meet the accessibility standard.
The site is in a pre-launch phase and under continuous development. As new pages and store functionality are added, each is built and reviewed against the same WCAG 2.1 AA baseline before it goes live.
Measures we take to support accessibility
Accessibility is built into our design and development process. Specifically, we:
- Design and build every page against WCAG 2.1 level AA from the start.
- Maintain a colour palette with text and interface contrast ratios of at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text and user-interface components.
- Ensure all interactive elements are reachable and operable with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
- Use semantic HTML: correct page landmarks, a single main heading per page, a logical heading order, meaningful text alternatives for images, and labelled form fields (including login, registration and checkout).
- Respect the operating-system "reduced motion" preference, limiting or disabling animation for people who request it.
- Provide a "Skip to content" link so keyboard and screen-reader users can bypass the navigation.
- Present the customs and import-duty notice with an icon, visible text and an accessible note, so it never relies on colour alone.
- Combine automated testing (axe-core, WCAG 2.1 A/AA) with manual review of keyboard navigation, visible focus, contrast, text alternatives, forms, semantic structure and reduced motion.
Technical specifications
Accessibility of this website relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your device:
- HTML
- WAI-ARIA
- CSS
- JavaScript
These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standard used.
Non-accessible content
We are not currently aware of specific content that fails WCAG 2.1 level AA. Because the site is still in active development, some newly added content or third-party components (for example, elements of the payment providers used at checkout) may not yet fully conform. Any known limitations will be listed here and remediated as soon as reasonably possible. If you find a barrier that is not listed, please tell us using the contact details below.
Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared in July 2026. The assessment method used was a self-evaluation: an automated audit (axe-core, WCAG 2.1 A/AA) complemented by manual review of keyboard operability, visible focus, colour contrast, text alternatives, forms, semantic structure and reduced motion.
This statement is reviewed and updated whenever significant changes are made to the website.
