Cookie Policy
Under Article 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI-CE and the guidelines of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), this Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, how GENESIS LAB, S.L. (“Shell Diamonds”, “we”) uses them on shelldiamonds.com, and how you can manage your preferences. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are files that are downloaded onto your device when you access certain web pages. Among other things, they let a site store and retrieve information about your browsing — your language, the contents of your basket, or the choice you made in the cookie banner.
Cookies are classified in three ways: by who manages them (first-party, set from our own domain, or third-party, set by an external provider); by how long they last (session cookies, deleted when you close the browser, or persistent cookies, stored for the period stated); and by what they are for (strictly necessary, functional, analytics or advertising).
2. Categories we use
- Strictly necessary. Required for the site and the purchase process to work — session, basket, login and consent-record cookies — including payment processing and fraud prevention. Exempt from consent under Article 22.2 LSSI.
- Functional. Remember choices you make, such as the language version of the site you are viewing. They require your consent.
- Analytics. Let us measure how the site is used and where visits come from, so we can produce statistics and improve the store. They require your consent and are not installed until you give it.
- Advertising or profiling. Not used on this Website.
The Website does not use advertising cookies and does not incorporate third-party tracking pixels or social-media plugins. Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so simply loading a page does not disclose your data to a font provider.
If advertising tools (Google Ads), remarketing pixels or other third-party technologies are activated in future, this Policy will be updated beforehand with the detail of each cookie — name, purpose, provider and duration — and those technologies will remain blocked until you give your consent.

4. Consent and management
Strictly-necessary cookies do not require consent. All other cookies — functional and analytics — are blocked until you accept them. On your first visit the consent management panel (CookieYes) lets you accept, reject or configure them before they are installed, with a reject button as accessible and visible as the accept button.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the same panel, permanently accessible from the footer and from the button below, and through your browser settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand. Consent is requested again at most every twenty-four months.
You can also control cookies directly in your browser settings, where you can delete existing cookies and block new ones — see the instructions for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. Google also offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics across all sites. Note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies may stop parts of the store — such as the basket or checkout — from working.
5. Retention and international transfers
Each cookie is kept for the period stated in section 3. The Google Analytics cookies are provided by Google Ireland Limited; data may be processed on servers located outside the European Economic Area, in which case the transfer relies on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and, as a supplementary safeguard, on Standard Contractual Clauses. The Sourcebuster, WooCommerce, WordPress and WPML cookies are first-party and involve no international transfer.
6. Tools that do not set cookies
We use Google Search Console to monitor how the site is indexed in search results and to detect technical issues. This tool sets no cookies on your device: it works on aggregated, anonymous data from Google Search, and ownership of the domain is verified through a TXT record in the DNS or an HTML tag in the page source — nothing is stored in your browser.
Should we later add tools that do set cookies — advertising pixels, heat maps, embedded videos or maps — this Policy will be updated and your consent requested before they are activated.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes or when required by law. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest revision. Please check back periodically.
